Overview/Description
One of the prime strengths of an organization is being able to bring together diverse personalities and various talents into a single unit or team and achieve positive, productive results. The SkillSoft series on "9 Traits of Highly Successful Work Teams" presents simple, basic and time-tested principles for working with one another. Presented by Loren Ankarlo, the series spans several teamwork related aspects like how a team can share a common purpose, how roles and procedures should be clarified within a team and how effective meetings should be conducted. Course 5 of the nine-course series on successful work teams focuses on how teams can avoid the potential gridlock of group discussions and make decisions through consensus and agreement. In this course, Loren Ankarlo introduces proven techniques for making effective decisions by teams. One of the techniques that is illustrated is the use of a weighted decision making model to help teams make effective decisions.
